What is Anime Frontier?

Anime Frontier is one of the biggest anime conventions in Texas, typically held in December. When it comes to conventions, this is one that leans more on industry leaders versus the smaller conventions focused more on local community fun.
For 2025 (it's 5th year anniversary), the guest list includes Studio TRIGGER, HIDIVE, The Gundam Base, and MANY more (the voice actor list is just as impressive).
Where is it held?
This convention is held at the Fort Worth Convention Center. There are not rooms available to book within the same venue, but the location is surrounded by hotels that are within walking distance. This is a venue that has a layout that works very well.
What are the prices like?
Prices are fair. This year, the prices are around $80 for a 3-day depending on when you buy them.
What is nice about Frontier badges is the local network that allows pickup before the convention weekend. You also have had the option to receive your badge by mail. This has been super effective with cutting down on that notorious badge pickup line.
What is there to do?
Anime Frontier has all the usual convention activities like panels, cosplay contest, artist alley, and more. However, Anime Frontier typically offers the best of the best. This is because of it's popularity, which makes the competition for acceptance (whether panels, costume contest, or artist alley booths) tough.
Also, the industry partners go big to really serve the guests.
The Anime Institute has had the privilege of offering panels for the past two years (and it has been a BLAST).
Is this con family-friendly?
Absolutely - they even have an area called AF Junior for the kids!
